Gardening
Characteristic
Horticulture is a field of science and agricultural practice aimed at improving the quality of human life. Specialists with a wide professional profile are educated in this field, enabling them to acquire comprehensive general and professional knowledge. The curriculum places great emphasis on the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
Graduates have knowledge and skills in the field of horticultural production technology, sustainable horticulture, landscaping, landscaping and nature protection, organizing work in a gardening enterprise and managing human resources, conducting scientific research and implementing broadly understood scientific and technical progress in horticulture, with particular emphasis on modern plant biotechnology methods.
Depending on the level and form of studies, students can broaden their knowledge of
- the following issues:
- economics and organization of horticulture,
- genetics, breeding and biotechnology of plants,
- plant protection,
- medicinal and special plants,
- ornamental plants,
- judiciary,
- garden nursery,
- vegetable plants – quality and use.
Career prospects
After this direction, you can work in:
- specialized horticultural farms,
- fruit and vegetable processing,
- administration,
- gardening services and consulting,
- institutions related to the shaping and maintenance of green areas,
