– studies will start in mid-October 2020. and will end in June 2021.
– classes will be carried out for 12 meetings (Saturday-Sunday)

Description of people / groups of recipients to whom the postgraduate studies are dedicated:
The studies are aimed at people who want to deepen their knowledge of topics related to cultivation
and the use of medicinal plants and plants with high biological activity in health prophylaxis
and with the assessment of their quality and technology of trade. The studies may be of interest to those who wish
set up a company producing, storing, trading and processing medicinal plants
and pro-health. The subject of studies may also be of interest to people with a hobbyist attitude,
wishing to broaden their knowledge of interesting plant species and plant substances
positively influencing the human condition and well-being.
Required prior qualifications:
Students of studies may be persons with at least one graduation diploma
degree.
General characteristics of learning outcomes:
A postgraduate student achieves the following learning outcomes: acquires knowledge
on the cultivation requirements and properties of health-promoting and healing plants
and obtained from natural sites; acquires knowledge about the marketing of herbal products,
their standardization and legal regulations; gets acquainted with the basics of the methods of growing and storing plants
pro-health and herbal; learns the basics of pharmacognosy, pharmacology and human physiology
for the skillful selection and use of plant products; acquires the ability to recognize
the most important medicinal and pro-health plants, evaluation of their functional characteristics, selection of the harvest date,
selection of maintenance methods; acquires the ability to use standard methods of quality analysis
vegetable raw materials.
Conditions and recruitment procedure for postgraduate studies:
Recruitment of candidates for studies is open and takes place on a first-come, first-served basis

Due to the limited number of places in the studies, it is recommended to ask the Head of Studies
for current availability, by phone or e-mail.
Required documents
– application for admission to studies / personal questionnaire
– a signature or a copy of the graduation diploma entitling to undertake studies, certified by the university
postgraduate education. In the case of graduating from a university abroad, the candidate
submits the original of the diploma and its translation into Polish, certified by authorized persons
institutions, as well as a document confirming the recognition of a diploma or a certificate of dismissal
from the nostrification procedure.
– proof of payment for studies, at least for the first semester, in the case of payment in 2 installments, or payment
in full in the case of a one-off payment

The total cost of participation for one postgraduate student is: 4500 PLN
payment in two installments
o 1st installment PLN 2,250 – until October 1, 2020
o 2nd installment PLN 2,250 – by February 15, 2021
Admission to postgraduate studies takes place after the total of:
– meeting the recruitment requirements,
– making a payment for studies and sending its confirmation to the Head of Studies for 7 days at the latest
before starting studies.
Upon a justified request of the listener, submitted before the required payment date,
The Dean may postpone the payment date or divide the payment into installments.
The procedure and conditions for completing postgraduate studies (on the terms specified in the Study Regulations
Postgraduate studies at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences):
– completion of all courses conducted during the studies,
– passing the final examination on the material presented during the studies with the result
at least sufficient,
– performance and defense of the diploma thesis at the final exam with a result at least satisfactory.
Detailed rules for the preparation, submission and defense of the diploma thesis and the final exam:
1. The diploma thesis is performed by a student under the supervision of a person selected by
The head of studies from among the lecturers due to the competence in the selected topic
work.
2. Theses topics selected by the student are approved by the Head of Postgraduate Studies.
3. The study participant should choose the topic of the diploma dissertation during the first semester of classes.
4. The diploma thesis is a literature review.
5. The deadline for submitting the diploma thesis – no later than one week before the final exam.
6. The defense of the diploma thesis takes place during the final examination before the committee appointed by
The Dean of the Faculty at the request of the Head of Postgraduate Studies.
7. The date of the final examination is set by the Head of Postgraduate Studies in the timetable.
The exam takes place no earlier than a week after the last meeting in June. Persons,
who fail the exam on the first date, may sit the exam on the second date
appointed by the Head of Studies, no later than September 30.
8. The final grade for studies, issued by the Examination Board, is an arithmetic mean
from the final exam grade and the diploma dissertation grade.
9. The condition of admission to the final exam is passing all subjects
carried out at postgraduate studies. Completion of the course is made in writing –
test. The pass mark is required to obtain a minimum of 50% of the points for the test.
