Plants and plant raw materials for health - quality and use

Characteristic

The study programme includes m.in. the following issues: commodity science of pro-health and medicinal plants with elements of biology and cultivation methods, methods of storage, packaging and conservation of plant raw materials, the importance of plant products in the diet, methods of assessing the quality of plant raw materials, exotic medicinal plants, characteristics of herbal medicines and the rules of trading them, pharmacognosy,
elements of pharmacology, anatomy and human physiology, plant aromatherapy, first aid principles and food safety issues including HACCP principles. The study program includes the subject of the course in the field of herbal commodity science, required to obtain qualifications
necessary to run herbal and medical stores in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health
of February 2, 2009 Classes are conducted by specialists from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the Medical University of Warsaw. Practical classes are conducted in laboratories
and in the field. Classes are held from October to June, in a series of 12 Saturday-Sunday meetings.

Recruitment conditions

Requirements:
Completed university studies of any field, bachelor's, engineer's or master's degree

Duration:
2 semesters, 12 meetings during the course of studies (Saturdays and Sundays)

Charge:
PLN 4,500 in total for two semesters, payable in two equal installments before the start of the semesters

Recruitment rules:
According to the order of applications, number of people: up to 32

Application deadline:
until September 30, 2020

  • a copy or a copy of the graduation diploma certified by the university,
  • declaration of consent to the electronic form of documents ( available here ).
